About
I am a 19-year-old bike racer from Lethbridge, Alberta. It's a small, rural, mainly agricultural town in southern Alberta. Does it have a great cycling scene? No. Does it have beautiful, winding mountain roads? Quite the opposite. But it's still home.
I currently go to school in Squamish B.C. Does it have a great cycling scene? Oh yeah. Does it have some beautiful, winding mountain roads? Hell yes. I'm a student at Quest University Canada, a small liberal arts school nestled in the mountains above Squamish. I race for half of the year, and then I go to school for the other half. Not the worst arrangement you could think of.
I've been passionate for cycling since I was about 13. I really only got serious about it last fall, around when I started university. This blog is a chronicle of my journey from a kid who didn't know what he was doing in the world of cycling until now, where I, hopefully, know a little more.

Behind The Name
International Racer Christian. How did this name come about?
The first year I started racing I did a race near Olympia, Washington. When I returned to Ascent Cycle, where I was working for the summer, I had earned the nickname "international racer" from my co-workers. It stuck and I think it's fun. Hopefully I'll become even more international in the future.
